Can TATA Nx Zero Sugar* be consumed by people who are lactose intolerant?

TATA Nx Zero Sugar* is made from Stevia herb extract and lactose. Lactose consumption of 12g per meal is the accepted safe limit. One cup of milk i.e.150 ml contains about 7g of lactose. 1g serving of TATA Nx Zero Sugar* which gives sweetness equivalent to 5g of sugar contains 0.8g of lactose. In lactose tolerant individuals including diabetics, this would be digested in extremely small quantities of glucose which is less than the glucose obtained from 5g (1 teaspoon) of wheat flour. In lactose intolerant individuals, the lactose can pass into the colon, providing negligible amount of acids and gas. This makes TATA Nx Zero Sugar* safe to be consumed by lactose intolerant individuals.

Does consuming artificial sweetener affect your body?

Artificial sweeteners do not increase the blood sugar levels and are promoted for diabetic patients. They also don’t cause dental decay or cavities like natural sweeteners can. How is TATA Nx Zero Sugar* different from other sweeteners?

What is Sucralose and how is it different from stevia that is used in TATA Nx Zero Sugar*?

Sucralose is an artificial sweetener which is produced by chlorinating sucrose (table sugar) while stevia found in TATA Nx Zero Sugar*, is a natural sweetener that is derived from a plant named Stevia rebaudiana. The active compounds of stevia are steviol glycosides which have up to 250 times the sweetness of sugar.
